Our main aim is to help the children in Bhutan who are desprately in need of help. They need very simple and basic things like toys, balls, pencil, pen, note book, school bags, umbrellas, shoes, and ofcourse they need clothings, food and medicine. Many children are in need of proper medical care. Seventy percent of the population are farmers and most often the children stay at home to help their parents on the farm. While they are home with their parents, they are phisically and mentally tired due to hard work and lack of medical care

The Handicraft Association of Bhutan formally inaugurated by Dasho Karma Dorjee Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Trade and Industry was formed on December 8th, 2005, at Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the meeting of Committee on handicraft with the mandate to support and develop various arts and crafts of Bhutan unique traditional and cultural heritage. At that time there was 31 members which comprised of 9 executive committee members and 22 general body members. The first HAB’s president was Mr.Thinley Jamtsho (2005 – 2008), The second HAB’s president was Aum Tshering Dem Ongdi (2008 – 2010)

The Association was spearheaded by few prominent industrialists and entrepreneurs in the country in 2007 with a view to provide a common platform wherein industries could take up issues of common interests for discussion, decision, and if need be submit to government and other agencies concerned for appropriate redressal. Since 2007, the Association has been functioning imperceptibly with the persuasion of few industrialists without any formal office and staff. The Association came into formal being with the establishment of its office in September 15, 2008. The office of the Association is based in Phuentsholing with a permanent office and staff head by a General Secretary.
